On 13/12/2023 our new Ambassador General Cheikh Wade presented his Letters of Credence to H.M. King Charles III in an audience at Buckingham Palace, accompanied by his wife Khadidiatou Diagne and staff. This ceremony marks the formal beginning of his term serving as the Ambassador of Senegal to the UK.
The ceremony began with the Crown Equerry arriving at the Embassy and escorting the Ambassador, his wife and staff to Buckingham Palace. A Vin d’honneur was held afterwards at the Copthorne Tara Kensington Hotel London to celebrate with guests, friends and family this important moment in the Senegalese-British ties which we are all looking forward to grow in the next few years.
