To streamline the administrative processes for investment, the Senegalese government established the National Agency for Investment Promotion and Major Projects (APIX) in 2000. Its mission is to:
* Support foreign and domestic investors in carrying out their projects in Senegal;
* Promote the economic image and attractiveness of Senegal as an investment destination;
* Oversee the improvement of the business environment;
* Contribute to the national effort to upgrade infrastructure;
* Provide quality services to investors;
* Reform the business environment.
Furthermore, APIX has a “One-Stop Shop” service, bringing together all the relevant administrative bodies involved in the assessment and processing of certain formalities and approvals, to offer investors a privileged and simplified business environment. The Business Creation Office (BCE), for example, now allows you to set up your company in 24 hours.
